About Thalia Botsari

“Every fabric, every wallpaper, begins with a feeling. Dreamy, joyful, a little artistic. The kind that makes a space feel genuinely yours. That’s what I’m always working towards, and why everything is made to last.”

The Designer

Thalia Botsari is a Berlin-based designer with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of material, colour and product; across fashion, footwear and textiles. She founded her namesake brand as a natural evolution of that work, turning her attention to the spaces we live in rather than the clothes we wear.

Her designs begin with abstract mark-making; working with watercolour, marbling and hand embroidery to build organic, colour-led artwork driven by emotion and intuition. She works with texture, pigment and gesture to evoke the feeling of a particular space, a quality of light, a fragment of nature. It’s this emotional core that makes each piece feel less like a pattern and more like a mood.

Working from her Berlin studio, Thalia collaborates with heritage mills across Europe to translate that artwork into fabric and wallpaper, producing everything made to order, with responsibly sourced materials, for homes that are built to last.
Alongside the collections, Thalia creates original textile art, abstract works that combine painting and hand embroidery, and that sit quietly at the heart of everything she makes.

What We Make

Every piece in the collection: fabric by the metre, wallpaper, ready-made cushions and original textile art, begins with the same thing. An abstract artwork made by hand in Thalia’s Berlin studio. The result is designs that feel personal rather than generic, and alive in a way that mass-produced textiles rarely are.

The wallpaper collection is digitally printed on premium FSC-certified paper using water-based inks, at a factory committed to recycling and responsible waste management. A process chosen carefully, one that achieves fine detail and rich colour without compromising on values.

The fabrics are printed in Europe on linen and cotton based materials. The printing process requires no water in production, and all pre-treatments, inks and finishes are GOTS 6.0 and OEKO-TEX 100 certified. Everything is made to order, which means less overproduction, more attention, and more care put into every metre.

Our Values

Made to Order

Every piece is made when it is ordered, and not before. No overproduction, no waste. Just what is needed, when it is needed.

Responsibly made

Certified materials, responsible production, and factories across Europe that take recycling seriously. Production is kept in Europe, supporting local craft and reducing environmental impact.

Build to Last

True luxury is knowing what you bring into your home was made with integrity. Every design is created for longevity, not trend.

Joyfully Original

Every design begins as an original abstract artwork. Made by hand, colour and emotion led, and unlike anything mass-produced.

The Process

Everything starts with a feeling. Something seen, something sensed, a mood that wants to become a colour, a texture, a mark on paper. Thalia works through it by hand in her Berlin studio, layering watercolour, marbling and embroidery until something clicks.

From there the work moves into the digital, carefully so the rawness of the original doesn’t get lost. What ends up on the fabric or the wall should still carry something of the hand that made it.

And then it goes out into the world, made to order, made with care, ready to become part of someone’s home.
